Latin day 25 : Translate a text ( second text ) part 1 : introduction

have started to learn latin ,this is my twenty fifth day .I am fully aware that it is considered a dead langage but I have decided to start to learn latin . I would like you to go on this journey with me…

lets translate some more latin

Aeque memorandum et de panthera tradit Demetrius physicus : iacentem in media via hominis desiderio repente apparuisse patri cuiusdam Philini, adsectatoris sapientiae ; illum pavore coepisse regredi, feram vero circumvolutari non dubie blandientem seseque conflictantem maerore qui etiam in panthera intellegi posset. feta erat, catulis procul in foveam delapsis.

 

First thing first do  ,we analyse the words :

lets look at the possible prepositions :

memorandum – worth mentioning (verbal adjective)

et – and (conjunction)

de- of (prepositions)

panthera – panther  (noun)

tradit – to hand over / surrender (transitive verb)

Demetrius  – name (noun)

physicus – physicist / relating to physics this could be a adjectif or noun

 

= equally worth mentioning and of panther to hand over demerius physicist

And the equally remarkable panther surrenders  Demetrius the scientist

this actually makes sense a bit of sense .
